Prologue is the prologue to The Dream Eater Saga. It centers around events that happened to Baba Yaga as a girl. In addition to the 12 page story there are 7 bonus pages with short bios of major characters.

Summary

The Grimm Universe heroes and villains from both past and present are here but not one of them is safe! Sela, Belinda, Calie, The Piper, Sinbad, Baba Yaga, Anna Williams, The Queen of Hearts and a over a dozen more are in grave danger and nothing and no one can be taken for granted. The Dream Eater is coming and it will stop at nothing to take what it desires! Who is it? Where does it come from? And what does it want? The answers are coming and they will shake the very foundation of the Grimm Universe to it’s core!

The Story

Warning! Spoilers!

The story starts long before the present day in the land of the mist. A little girl with white hair and violet eyes is wondering through her village. She goes to the library where the "fairy tales" are kept and pulls open the door. Inside she sees massive shelves with ladders leading up to the tops of the shelves. She is looking for just one book, The Book of the Lost. To find it, she climbs up high on the shelves and finds it sitting by itself on a pedastool atop the shelf. She pics it up and hands grab her from behind. A woman calling her "Baba" pulls her down and tells her she is not ready for the books in the library and won't be until she's ready. The girl protests to her mother, but but she is sent home where her mother puts her to bed, the book still in hand.

Baba comments that the Dream Eater isn't real only something to scare children, but her mother assures her that the Dream Eater is indeed real and something to fear.
